Guard Rail.
Our skilled teams have many years experience within the industry installing various systems including bridge works, concrete beams and bolt down terminals.
We work in conjunction with the major NZ manufacturers of road safety barriers including Ingal Civil and CSP who provide the various types of W-Beam and Thrie-Beam systems of guardrail and crash barriers.
Guardrail barriers provide semi-rigid protection and shield motorists from hazards located close to the edge of the travelled way. The most common guardrail system consists of a steel w-beam rail (also known as armco) on steel posts with end treatments and transitions of various designs using similar materials.
Guardrail's uniformly high resistance to impact is assured by its continuous flexible beam action. This prevents dangerous pocketing and at the same time minimises the ride down acceleration experienced by the vehicle and its occupants.
The high visibility of guardrail creates driver confidence. This is an intangible but exceedingly important factor. At night or in fog conditions, the excellent visibility of guardrail highlights the limit of safe travel and reduces dangerous centre line crowding.

At TOPCRU our specialised equipment is a must when installing wire rope barriers - we undertake repairs and maintenance as well as new installations around the North Island.
The superior design and clean lines of Wire Rope Safety Barrier (WRSB) has seen it become the road safety industry’s preferred wire rope safety barrier. Wire Rope Safety Barrier (WRSB) has gained popularity as a median barrier for the prevention of cross-median accidents. Cross-median accidents are typically violent collisions with a high probability of multiple serious injuries and death. Thus, the design trend is towards providing positive vehicle containment in wider median applications for which road safety barriers have not historically been warranted.
